Hesham Khalafallah founded MetaLife Metaverse in 2022, led its overall concept, identified its uses in education and training, and built its partnerships at home and abroad.

He heads the AI and Metaverse Research Centre at the League of Islamic Universities and served as Middle East regional director of the IGate Institute. He has led workshops and lectures on the metaverse at international university conferences in Egypt and India, and published research on using AI for religious awareness. He writes and speaks in the Egyptian press on information security, the future of AI and the creative economy.
